This hybrid mattress consists of 1 inch quilted memory foam, 2-inch gel memory foam on top, 1-inch transition foam in middle and 8-inch individually wrapped coils. It’s advertised to be a cooler mattress. But that’s not true. I would say it’s a normal or probably warm mattress. Gel memory foam has limited effect on regulating temperature. If your temperature raises while sleeping, I would advise you to have a pad or keep looking.

It would be a fantastic option for people who like soft feel. Actually, firm mattresses are more available on the market than soft ones. Most people who want cloud-like feel have limited options so they buy firm mattresses with an ultra plush topper. With this mattress, you can have the same experience without a topper. You will sink in good enough in this hybrid mattress. One problem some may have is they may find it hard to get out of the bed. This is a soft mattress not that soft as described by Linenspa.
No fiberglass
Luckily to hear that Linenspa 12-inch hybrid mattress has no fiberglass inside. Many manufacturers now still use fiberglass in mattress as a fire barrier. It makes washing cover frustrating. When you unwrap and wash the cover, the fiberglass would fly everywhere in the room. It can be easily inhaled and cause nose bleeds, sever coughing and lung damage. In the worst case scenario, small particles can reach and remain in your lungs for long period of time.
Sleep warm
Linenspa 12 inch hybrid mattress will be a warm mattress even though it has gel memory foam. It’s soft and plush so people sink in much while sleeping. That makes body heat it absorbs dissipate not easily. It definitely feels warmer than firmer mattress. It would be a plus in winter but a problem in summer. However, if your AC is always on in hot days, it would be ok too. If not, you need to consider buying a pad.
Weight capacity
Due to the cotton-like firmness, the weight capacity of this 12-inch gel foam hybrid mattress would be limited. Heavy persons tend to sink a lot and feel uncomfortable. That being said, this is a light person friendly mattress. People weighing average or below would feel like floating on a cloud. From owner feedback, this mattress is less likely to provide enough support for a person over 250 lb, as they tend to have most weight on one part of mattress instead of evenly distributed.
Return policy
I don’t like Linenspa 30 day free trial. Linenspa is offering 30 day free trial for their mattresses shipped by them. That means we can return the mattress within 30 days. But we have to pay for shipping back. Mattress isn’t like some products. It’s bulky and heavy. Shipping costs a lot. Especially, many compressed mattresses are shipped in a box today. It’s not easy, even impossible to repack and return. As far as I know, Amazon is also offering 30 day free return too but they don’t make customer pay for shipping. They usually just give all your money back and tell you not to ship back. Amazon’s free return policy is really consumer-friendly. But keep in mind that it only applied to products sold and shipped by Amazon.
Difference between 10 inch and 12 inch

Mattress companies are providing basic warranty alike except the length. LinenSpa is providing 10 year warranty for this gel memory foam hybrid mattress. It covers any defects and problems caused from manufacturing. But normal wear and tear would not be covered such as losing firmness over time. You can make a warranty claim after you find the mattress doesn’t fully expand.
