Olee Sleep is another small brand joining the battle in low-end mattress market in 2015. The price of their mattresses is lower than most competition you could find online. For people who are looking for economic mattress, Olee Sleep is offering cheaper options. Like other cheap memory foam mattress brand, their mattresses are imported from China instead of being made in the USA. All Olee Sleep models are added to the market in the first quarter of 2016. That explains why they still don’t have the Certipur-US seal that nearly all mattress brands have. This new brand is only sold on the internet and not available in brick-and-mortar stores. As a new brand, there is little information you can find about it and what their official website is very limited. But we collect some important and useful information to help you know more about Olee Sleep.

Multi-layers design good or bad

Olee Sleep memory foam mattresses are multiple-layers manufactured and even 6-inch ventilation model combines three layers including memory foam, duraflex foam and support foam. Thicker models have more than three layers. The advantage of multiple-layer mattress is it accommodates not only one sleep position but applies to all sleeping positions. That means no matter you sleep on your side, stomach, back, or change posture at night, you cans still find a comfortable spot on the mattress, which doesn’t always happen on those single or dual layers design. Multiple layers are usually used on models thicker than 12 inches by many other brands. Multiple layer design improves comfort but has negative effect on durability of thin mattresses because the support foam isn’t thick enough to provide firm support for extended periods of time.

Excellent customer service

Obviously, Olee Sleep fully understands what’s important in the business. Their customer service is helpful and fast responding. A few customers who have return experience report Olee Sleep customer service processed very fast without hassles and questions. They’re providing 100 nights free trial for all mattresses so you can return their mattresses for any reason in 100 days. Most importantly, you will get full refund and won’t be charged for shipping, restocking or handling fees. They send people to pick up the mattress.

Really cheap price

Olee Sleep is one of cheapest mattress brands online. The 10-inch gel memory foam costs the same as a name brand crib mattress, less than $200. All Olee Sleep mattresses are really cheapest of cheapest and competitive compared to big brands. They aren’t that kind of mattress that you don’t like will kill you. Olee Sleep is trying to provide you a comfortable sleep at your least cost.

The company standing behind Olee Sleep

Olee Sleep is manufactured by Grantec which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zinus. Zinus is a Korea bedding brand with the factory located in Xiamen, China and primarily selling cheap mattress online. The company has five subsidiaries including Grantec, the rest are Zinus USA, Zinus Korea, Zinus Xiamen, Keetsa INC.,USA, and Grantec Xiamen. Zinus manufactures mattresses for Walmart, Sealy, Homedics, TSI, CTC, Corsicana, UK Ventura, Obusfome, Innomax and has some own brands like Zinus, Keetsa, Ortho Therapy, Sleep Revolution, Priage, Theratouch, Adjust-A-Firm.

If you have done some research, you will find Zinus Green Tea memory foam mattresses are very cheap and popular out there. They’re also a new comer but enter the market one year or two earlier than Olee Sleep. Both Zinus and Olee Sleep are truly factory direct brands so that’s one of reasons why their mattresses are much cheaper.

Olee Sleep memory foam mattress has five thicknesses available, 6″, 8″, 9″, 10″, and 12″. They don’t have models thicker than 12 inches which means there isn’t a very good option for any overweight person over 300 lbs.

6-inch-olee-sleep mattress6″ Olee Sleep mattress has two versions available, Ventilated Multi Layered Memory Foam Mattress 06FM01T (also called Saturn) and Ventilation Memory Foam Mattress 06FM02Q. Two versions have little difference except layer counts. Both mattresses are too thin for adults as they can’t provide enough support. But it’s a good bed for toddlers, kids and teenagers. It’s not too firm or soft, a medium feel. Some owners report theirs only expand to 5-inch not 6. So when it arrives let it fully expand and measure if it’s 6 inches. Click to learn more…

Olee Sleep 9 Inch I-gel Multi Layered Memory Foam Mattress

9-inch-olee-sleep mattress9-inch model hasn’t much difference with 8-inch. Two only differences are thickness and extra gel infused foam layer. It still uses 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch layers for support, 1-inch HD foam buffering layer, 1-inch I-gel dura flex foam, and 1-inch top memory foam layer. 12-inch-olee-sleep mattress12 Inch I Gel Top Tencel is the most expensive memory foam mattress of Olee Sleep and it’s usually sold less than $300 for queen size. It has another name on Olee Sleep official site, Noblesse. 12-inch mattress also adopts gel foam to regulate sleeping temperature. Primary materials and layers are the same with other models’. Soft Tencel mix fabric is the difference except thickness. This 12-inch mattress has a higher customer satisfaction, about 87%. Most owners are pretty satisfied with it.

Conclusion

Olee Sleep mattresses are medium firm feel and materials they’re using are nearly the same. Therefore, you just need to make a decision on the thickness based on your weight and age. If you and your partner are medium build like under 200 lbs each, 8-inch or 9-inch is good enough, but if you weigh more, go for 10-inch or 12-inch.

Olee Sleep 11-inch was released to the market and it’s just an updated model of 10-inch featuring a 2.5-inch gel foam layer. No new features or materials added.

What you should know before buy Olee Sleep mattresses

Best sellers of Olee Sleep are 10 inch gel memory foam mattresses and 13 inches hybrid spring foam mattress. Bed frames are also their primary products and 14 inch and 18 inch high model are selling best. Since 2015 Olee Sleep started this business, they have sold hundreds of thousands mattresses and bed frames. But you need to know one thing when you are considering their products. They have poor quality control on Olee Sleep mattresses and bed frames. According to my research and observation, one out of ten customers have quality issue with their products. That’s not only issue Olee Sleep has. Most brands that import mattresses from China tend to have poor quality control. Mattresses and bed frames are shipped from China to their US warehouse. Sometimes, product quality of two lots could be different. Next lot may be worse than this one.

What I mean is you should be prepared for some quality issues like lumped mattress or bent bed frame leg. However, you don’t need to be over-concerned because their customer service are very responsible and reliable. They tend to give positive response to customer’s complaints and replace a new one. Honestly, their products and service are worth the low price you pay for their mattress and bed frames.

The description says not good for over 300 lbs is that in total for a couple

    • William says:

Hi Huron, maybe I don’t make it clear. I just want to state that it’s not good for any individual weighing over 300 lbs instead of in total for a couple. Any mattress could support a couple in total 300 lbs.

i got the 11-inch Olee version last month($220 for a queen at Amazon+free shipping). Glad you put in a comment at the end of your review about the 11-inch being an updated version of the 10-inch model. So far after one month, I am happy with the bed, my first memory foam. I’m 5’8″ and 230lbs and comfortable. No more back pain, numb legs or arms like my old box spring and even a new Sealy Posturpedic I got from Costco and had to return before buying the Olee. It was four times the price of the Olee! I am using the bed as low as possible on the floor, so my older dog can get on it. Placing the bed directly on low plush, berber type, carpet was ok, but last week, I purchased the Zinus wood/metal combo frame($79 queen Amazon delivered) and is also working well. it is made to go inside a regular metal bed frame, but I placed the frame directly on the carpet. Potentially, the bed can slide on the frame or frame can slide on the carpet, but not enough of a problem to take any action. The Zinus frame does have two sided tape to prevent the bed from sliding, however, I did not remove the paper covering tape to use.I want to rotate bed and possibly give it some more airing, so I did not remove the paper of two sided tape. One additional note on the bed, I did air it out a lot the first week. During the day when not in use, I put a fan on it and sometimes turned on side and partially unzipped the included bed cover with a fan and windows opened. This helped a lot with the initial outgassing.

    • William says:

Hi Nick, thanks for sharing your review here and I believe it will help people. Outgassing is a common problem for memory foam mattress, especially these inexpensive models. Hope you update your review after months to let us know more about the mattress. Thanks
